Using Microsoft Outlook is very common just like Gmail. And every user will be found having the account in both the emails. Learning to Enable Gmail IMAP Settings

  1. Open the web browser and go to Gmail.com from the search bar.

  2. Enter the username and password and log into Gmail account.

  3. Go to the “settings” option from the top right which is the gear icon and select “Account Settings” option.

  4. From the tab, click on “Forwarding and  POP/IMAP settings.

  5. Then tap “Enable IMAP” option and tap “Save” at the bottom of the page.

After enabling the IMAP settings you can log into Outlook which is as follows.

Know How to Switch From Microsoft Outlook Customer Service

  1. Open the Outlook 2013 from your desktop.

  2. From the “Files” option at the top left corner, tap on “Account Settings”.

  3. In the Settings box that is displayed, tap “New” and move further.

  4. Then choose email account and tap “Next”.

  5. Now the user is required to choose “Manual Setup or Additional Server Types” and proceed further by clicking “Next”.

  6. Then choose POP or IMAP and then click “Next”

  7. Enter the details that are asked. Like your first name, date of birth, etc. And moving on in the account section enter your full Gmail address and move further.

  8. On continuing to enter the details as stated, Account Type: IMAP, Incoming Mail Server: imap.gmail.com, Outgoing mail server: smtp.Gmail.com, username: the complete Gmail username and the Gmail password in the password section.

  9. Tap “More Settings”.

  10. Click Outgoing server tab and start to enter the outgoing server details. The user can also select the option of “Use Same Settings as my incoming mail server”.

  11. Now click the advanced tab and enter the following information:

  12.  a) incoming Server: 993

  13.   b) outgoing server: 465.

  14. Now click “OK” to close all the settings and then click “Next”.

  15. Wait for some time for Outlook server to save the settings.

  16. Tap “Finish”.

The user can now easily use Gmail along with Outlook.
